Louis (Ragdoll)I found Louis wandering around my parents' neighborhood, scared and dirty. He hid in the bushes for hours while I tried to coax him out with food and water. When he finally came out he immediately let me pick him up and cuddle him, he's such a sweet and affectionate boy! Since my parents were planning to call animal control I took him home.

His breeder was trying to breed a specific color of Persian, white fur with silver tips. Bradley was a dud and the breeder obviously didn't like him. He kept him locked in a room by himself and wouldn't let him around the other kitties.
Shasta (Siberian Husky)Back in 2011, I acquired him from a man who was going to put him in a shelter. He was moving and couldn't take him along. Shasta's name was Kingsley at the time, and he was 9 months old. When I found out, I asked "If you're just going to put him in a shelter, can I have him?" And the rest is history '
Peppy (Miniature Poodle)We inherited Peppy when a family member who passed away 5 years ago. He demolishes new toys to get the squeakers out. He then carries around the flattened, lifeless toys. He also loves to run around the house with our Min Pin and wrestle with her.

Abby (Terra-Poo)When she was 6 months old, we adopted her from a private rescue shelter. She picked us! She likes to go for long walks. We walk a mile a day, and she always finds something interesting to smell. She loves playing with the our cat too.

Kisses (Guinea Pig)We adopted Kisses from a shelter in 2012 with her mate Ginger. Ginger sadly passed away a few years ago, so we got her a friend named Lady. She loves free ranging, playing with her best friend Lady, eating grass at the park, jumping on top her house, and eating lettuce.
LeRoy (Chihuahua Mix)We rescued LeRoy when he was a puppy. LeRoy was very sick, the lady who had him was unable to provide the necessary care for him so we took him and got him well.

The trainer informed him of the beautiful, sweet girl that had been in a very abusive home and was terrified of everything. My dad knew this was it. It had to be.
Sherona (Chihuahua)We got our little cutie pie when she was 1 year old. We got her off of craigslist for $50.00. When we first took her to the vet they found signs that she had been abused for most of her life. Even though all of her health problems she has the cutest little personality and big glossy eyes and is improving a little more everyday ;)
Creo (Long Hair Black Cat)He found and picked me, the first week of September last year. He was in the parking lot of my apartment complex. I went to get into my friend's truck and he jumped up into the truck with us just meowing away. He followed me to my door and I took him in. My boyfriend told me no, due to the fact we already have a cat and he took him and put him back outside.
Adele (West Highland Terrier)I got her from the Westie Rescue Southeast USA in Tennessee. Play with bacon balls, anything that squeaks. She loves her snuggles because she spent her first 5 years as a puppy mill mommy. She didn't know how to run, never had a toy, and never had a forever home to have someone love her!
Momma with Calvin & HobbsI got the mother cat as I was driving down the street. A car stopped directly in front of me opened up a their car door and threw out a cat. I can't believe it I rescued cat, brought her home and never got her fixed. I am now considered the crazy cat lady because I have a total of 13 cats.

Wallace (Kitten)Our daughter was on her way to our house, on I-40 near Wallace, when she saw this little kitten under the overpass. Every time a car would pass, he would run around in circles. Being the loving person that she is, she could not leave him there. She had to stop and pick him up. The kitten was howling it was so terrified. It took a while to get him settled down. She gave him some water and he went fast asleep and slept the rest of the way.
Bindi (Chihuahua)I got my Bindi when she was 4 months old. She was a rescue. Bindi loves going for walks, and she enjoys traveling with me wherever I go. She loves meeting people and especially loves ladies and babies.

Our New GirlsLast year was a devastating year for our family. We lost all 6 of our chickens to raccoons over the course of a few months. Two of them were almost 6 years old and another was more like a pet dog than a chicken to us. After a lot of contemplation we decided to try again, after extensive fortification of our coop. These are our 5 new girls, exploring outside for the first time!

The Girls are Ganging UpI think my two cats, Annie and Fuzzy have taught our pet chicken some bad habits. They regularly peek into the window and when I looked out the window today I see little Chicken Little has learned the trick too! We all had a good laugh!
ZigZag (Miniature Schnauzer)ZigZag was given to us 3 1/2 years ago. His mother stepped on his leg when he was just a puppy so the breeder couldn't sell him due to his bum'leg. He is a great dog.

We noticed when we chose our puppy that being the Momma dog, she was not in the best shape or condition. Having just given birth to 6 puppies she needed a lot of nutrients and attention which she was not getting from that owner.
New Himalayan PuppiesI went to meet my grandparents, who live in Manali, which is a town in the Himalayas. Their dog give birth to these fuzzy puppers about 3 weeks ago. They haven't been named yet.

Peanut Butter-n-Jelly likes to lay on my bed and follow me around. He is always waiting on food ;) Lilah Mae likes to run all over and jump and get the jumping 'zoomies'.
Rosie (Chihuahua Min-Pin Mix)That is kind of a long story. On April 16, 2016 I was walking my 10 y/o Chihuahua and a car came speeding down the street and hit him. Obviously, I was devastated. I knew I would want another baby, but thought I would wait awhile.
Otis (Sheepadoodle)We purchased Otis thru an ad online and drove about 200 miles to pick him up. He can toss a soccer ball/basketball around like a pro. He goes thru about a ball a week.

Skipper (Belgian Shepherd Groenendael)Skipper watches over my elderly mother and attracts my attention if he is concerned about her. She often drops her book or other objects, and he will pick them up from the floor and place the item gently back on her lap. He is a real asset to me and a constant companion, and as Mum lives with us he is without a doubt a very useful friend to have in her times of need.

I trim little Peties flight feathers to keep them safe and as you can see by the picture he decided to fly anyway. He likes to chew on things and tear them up sometimes. I think he's part beaver. Shinook (Jack Russell)I got him from a friend. He likes to hunt things, swim, and run for a ball or stick. He likes riding on the 4 wheeler and sleeping with us.
Henry (Siamese Mix)His middle name is 'Skippyjon, based on a children's' book series (Skippyjon Jones). It is about a naughty but curious, sweet Siamese kitten who pretends to be a great sword fighting Chihuahua. He is mistaken for this dog breed because his ears are too big for his body!'
Sophia (Saint Bernard)I got her for Christmas in 2013. She loves to say hey to the mailman that is extremely scared of her lol. She's the nicest dog ever, just a little protective over her fam.
Lucy (Mini Dachshund)I got Lucy 4 yrs. ago when my other baby died suddenly one morning. At first I had a hard time warming up to her. But then our other male dog, that Lucy grew to love, had to be put down due to a devastating seizure. When he was put down it was only Lucy and I. She needed me and I needed her.
Astro (Terrier Mix)I got this pet yesterday with my sister. We walked in not thinking about buying a puppy and walked out with a puppy! He is the sweetest thing!
Echo (Husky)I got Echo as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband in 2016. A friend of mine had a litter of puppies that needed homes so I surprised him with going and picking her out.

Porkchop and Enos (Siamese Mix)Porkchop and little brother Enos (with his tongue out) were born under an orange tree to a feral momma cat. We welcomed them and their sister into the house about 3 weeks later when momma cat stopped caring for them. Lucky for us they hadn't acquired that feral behavior of the momma and were easily transitioned into our home.

Striker (Chinese Chow Chow)In November of 2014 I had someone threatening to kill me. My sister recommended I find a Chow Chow breeder. They are loyal and protective of their families. I found Striker online and he was flown from Lindale, Texas at 9 weeks old! He has been my faithful, loving, sweet companion!
Cricket (Chihuahua)I kept her from a litter that my other dogs had. She was the little runt baby. She loves to be around my neck in her fleece bag that I made for her.
Duke (Husky Pit Bull Cross)My family recently adopted Duke. We had never heard of a Pitsky before. A Husky and Pit Bull mix. He needed a home because his previous owner works two jobs and felt it wasn't fair to not give him the attention he needed. He really loved him and had everything for him, but time.
Twix (Dachshund/Chihuahua)I have had Twix since October. My fiancee and I are in a long distance relationship, it is hard because I always feel lonely and always missing my fiancee. He knows how much I love dogs, so he asked someone to surprise me. And yeah that was Twix.
